We’re Building a Smarter Modal System for Better Editing

We’ve been quiet lately and that’s because we’ve been building something new behind the scenes.

Modals might not seem like a big deal, but they play a huge role in how you interact with a photo editing app. They’re where adjustments happen, tools live, and workflows get defined. And in most editors, modals tend to feel like interruptions — getting in the way just when you’re getting into the flow.

So we decided to rethink how modals should work, and we’re rebuilding the entire system from the ground up.

Our new modal system is designed to feel faster, lighter, and more flexible. You’ll be able to move panels around, keep multiple modals open at once, and make real-time changes without being blocked or bounced out of what you’re doing. Everything will feel more responsive, more intuitive, and better aligned with how creative people actually work.

Instead of hard stops and constant opening/closing, this system is all about staying in the flow. Adjustments will update live as you work, tools will be easier to access and switch between, and the interface won’t get in your way. Whether you’re doing quick edits or deep retouching, this new system is built to support the rhythm of real editing.

We’re currently testing the first version internally and we’re excited with how it’s shaping up. The initial rollout will start soon, beginning with our Pro users, followed by wider availability as we refine things based on feedback.

We’ll share more as we get closer to launch. For now, we just wanted you to know that something better is on the way — and it’s built with your workflow in mind.

Thanks for using our app, and thanks for being part of this journey.
